Avalon, WV

Avalon, located in the mountains of West Virginia, is truly a get-away. The grounds are expansive and offer nice trails for hiking, two pools (one indoor, one outdoor), tennis courts, pentaque, camping, RVing, and more. We stayed in one of their lodge rooms for four days, and found the prices reasonable. The resort offers a restraunt and snack bar -- we tried both out and enjoyed what we got. A word to the wise: If you want to bring your own food and drinks, stock up before coming to Paw Paw. We thought we could just "run to the store," and were surprised to find the nearest supermarket was a 40 minute drive...
